And Now We are 6!

Boston turned 6 on January 17th. We decided to get him what every 6 year old boy should have.

Meet C.J. Quite possibly the cutest puppy in the world. A Border collie mix is perfect for our household and my friend Alicia had just announced that she had a bunch that were free to good homes!
We gave Boston 3 picks for a name and he chose:
  1. CJ
  2. Hoggy
  3. Jim

We needed to let him make a few different choices for names, Remember "Pecker" the Chicken?Needless to say we now have C.J. short for Cracker Jack.

He is one LOVED puppy!

One of the best things about Birthdays here is that I serve cake and ice cream for breakfast! Definately one of the most looked forward to traditions! We had the Weaver kids overnight and they thought that was AWESOME! Something kind of funny, My kids and their friends look like siblings. Its hilariously funny sometimes when people get confused as to who belongs to me and who dosent. Can you pick out my kids? Give it a try......

Tales from the Coop.....

This is Pecker (red) and Patchy. Boston innocently named them both. Pecker is missing a ton of feathers on her back. I thought "what the heck! you just moulted!" This is not normal.

I checked her out looking for mites or illness, or even that she was being picked on by the other birds (with Patchy being the Queen).

Nope, it wasn't until I was cleaning out the coop and noticed the funky smell and turned to look at the heat lamps in there........
Turns out the stupid bird snuggles up to her red heat lamp at night. There were her feathers stuck to it and scorched all over it.
......Genius

Retarded bird.

When a hobby goes haywire.....

Hmmmm.......you'll never guess what I like to do.

I guess I didnt realize that I tend to harbor books on farming. This is about a third of my collection. That pile to the left? Thats Hobby Farm and Hobby Farm Home magazines. I think Im obsessed. Hey at least I can admit it.

Guess who got a camera for christmas?

Enjoying all of their stuff

Happy's favorite present. His doggie bed. ;)

Natalie's most wished for gift....A DSi. The boys just beg her to let them play with it.
We had a really good christmas. I really enjoy staying home and not having to travel. Dont get me wrong, I love to travel. just not around the holidays.
I got a camera which i so desperatly wanted for blogging and a GPS for the car! Yay! Now I can go places! Like the FarmChicks show! and Hobby Lobby! and anywhere else that sounds fun!
