Santa is an Equal Opportunity Employer
Well i guess we know who is going to be on the Naughty list this year.....
Boston and Myself are in the mall this afternoon doing our last minute christmas shopping. He decided that he wanted to see Santa. No big deal right? Ugh.
Im pretty sure the a group home or something was having a christmas outing because there were dozens of people with downs syndrome wearing red and green santa hats and "helping out" the photo people.
He sits on Santa's lap and before the big jolly guy can say anything Boston comes out with......"Why is all your elves retarded?"
I about died right there.
I grabbed him and announced to Santa, "He wants an xbox 360" I shoved that candy cane in his mouth to prevent any further damage and pretty much got out of there as fast as I could with a 5 year old going "What?".
Not a good day, not a good day at all.
I Quit.

Masculine Mama
Boston: Dad, Can I sleep in bed with you?
Me: Boston, its just mommy in bed, Daddy is already up.
Boston: oh.
::pause::
Boston: Mom, you look just like a man.
I mean....really? I look like a man? Do I have stubble too? I quit.

that kid of mine (of latin orgin?)
Boston.....ugh. I love that kid but he just makes me stand in awe and shake my head sometimes.
Apparantly I talk to myself alot out loud......hence these two almost identical scenarios that have happened in the last 2 weeks.
- We are in the Dr.'s office and I am talking about how great my husband is. Boston pipes up with "I thought you said he was a "hot piece of ass"? I about died right there. I could feel the fire burning under my cheeks. Thank goodness the Dr thought that was HILARIOUS.
- We are in the checkout at Safeway. The lady hands me my receipt and says "thanks mrs.Sauvageau" which then leads to a conversation about my husbands company and how nice of a man he is to which Boston again responds" But Mom! I thought that he was a Hot Piece of Ass!" Loudly I might add. The checker in the next line busted up while mine was trying really really hard to keep a strait face. I just said "I'm so sorry" and walked off.
Which brings us to today.....I was driving the kids to school and complimented Boston on his adorable little beanie hat (it is sooooo cute on him!). He said thanks and I walked him into school. His little friends come running at him and he yells"I'm a BEANER BOY!" you should've seen the looks I got....I just had to turn and walk out.
I love that kid....but............
I quit.

Plum Harvest!
There is nothing like making a couple delicious plum pies and then having your 4 year old knock both of them to the ground face first. I wonder sometimes how he got so talented. ;) At least i have another bushel of plums to make another round of goodness......theres always a bright side.
Some things that I have had to make changes to in my life.
- I wash all my dishes by hand. My dishwasher takes at least 3 hours and it is faster and easier for me to just do it and have it done in 20 min.
- I sleep a TON more. I wait for the kids to be in bed and then I crash! 9:15 is usually bedtime for me!
- I have become yard sale obsessed. In the last 2 weeks Ive gotten a carpet cleaner, ice cream maker, snow boots for me, a wood rack, and oodles of clothes for the boys! Im going again tomorrow if anyone wants to join me ;)
So on this coming sunday Natalie gets to yell "play ball!" for the SEATTLE MARINERS at their last game of the season I'm not sure who is more excited her or her daddy! He was sooooooo excited when she got that call. She is more nervous than anything else.

stuff thats happened recently
- The kids started school. I have a kindergartner and a 2nd grader and a preschooler starting on monday I believe.
- I fell in my duck pond. Not cool.
- I got sprayed by a skunk while still soaking wet from said duck pond. Not a good day, not a good day at all.
- I have decided to recover my dining room chair pads with chicken feed bag scraps. We will see how that goes. ;)
- I bought and watched a homesteading DVD and LOVED it. However i had the strongest urge ever to go and butcher my chickens. I did not though, thank goodness.
- LOVE, LOVE,LOVE, my new medication. Weird side effects: Sweating and the crazy "nesting" cleaning urge ALL THE TIME!
- I adore this weather! Sweaters and Smores here i come!
- I got a carpet cleaner brand new at a yard sale for 150.00, still in the box and everything! The store price was 300.00 so I was thrilled! I havent used it yet, I might have to do that today(enter freaky cleaning urge).
- I really want to go antiquing soon. I have this hutch thing in my mind that I know is out there waiting for me. ;) Optimism is my friend.
- Favorite article of clothing of the week.....My apron that Brooke made for me. ("Why is Alicia not wearing pants?") Ive been wearing it with everything while Im at home pj's included! Thanks brooke!
