Day 1: Love is Patient
Say NOTHING negative to your spouse at all today.
Believe it or not this is not as easy as it sounds for me. I did not realize what a negative person I can be. Especially to Tom! Poor husband of mine. But on the good side it is 1pm and I am off to a great start. I am keeping "the love dare" a secret from him. I just want to see how it works. (no, he dosent read my blog)
a few notes off of a different book too. "the 5 love languages" Tom's love language is Acts of Service. Mine is Words of Affirmation. Today I went out and mowed some of the lawn(its 2 acres, and we dont have a riding mower =)) to show love to my husband. I didnt tell him I was going to do this, I want him to be suprised. I'll let you know how he responds, Im excited about it, I worked hard and broke a serious sweat. I am counting that as my workout for the day. I hate when you get sweat on your eyelids and dirt on your teeth. Both of those things seem to just come with mowing the lawn.
My kids are being really good for me today. They played outside while I mowed and the boys were ok at the grocery store. Im going to try a glorified macaroni and cheese recipe today, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Good luck with the mac and cheese! I have NEVER mowed a lawn in my life. I don't even know how to turn the mower on. Lame, I know. I am actually pretty handy, but not when it comes to large machines with blades. With my luck- I would lose a foot or two! :)
