Conversations with the Sauvageau Children

Alicia: What kind of Animals do you want to see at the zoo?

Lucas: Bunny Rabbits.

Alicia: Anything else?

Lucas: Cows.

Alrighty then. My kids want to see farm animals at the zoo. I guess they are going to be in for a rude awakening when its lions, and tigers and bears oh my!

Alicia: Boston, do you need to go pee? ::watching him hold himself::

Boston: No, I already go-ed.

Alicia: Then why are you holding yourself?

Boston: Cause I like it!

::sigh:: Well I asked didnt I.

Am I that bad?

That wonderful man that I am married to just threatened to put a sign on his office door if I dont stop coming in to bug him while he is working about "mundane" or "womanly" things. I really wasnt aware that myself making conversation was "bugging" him. Then he rambled off on all the things that I felt were important for him to know....

  1. There is a kid at Natalie's school who looks JUST like my nephew Charlie.
  2. I cleaned the whole bathroom with just one kind of organic cleaner.
  3. Gooseberry patch has the BEST cookie ideas and Gingersnaps are my current favorite.
  4. I would love to raise a pig for the meat
  5. ...and goats
  6. ...and sheep
  7. Does you think that my hair should be Red? or Brown?
  8. Should I wear an apron all the time in the house or just when I'm cooking?
  9. How come we dont have blue eyed children? Isnt it in our gene pool somewhere?
  10. I found this awesome cheese recipe! Im going to try it soon!!!
  11. I love the library, you should go with us sometime.

I never really realized that I came in and asked him all this kind of stuff. His employee even confirmed it.

Man that sucks.

And you know what he wants his sign to say in big letters?

If its not an EMERGENCY (meaning Blood) CALL KARALEE.

So Im slacking a little....it happens.

Sorry guys. I havent blogged about my daily nonsense in over a week. Bad Alicia!

I can give you some updates in list form...you all know how I LOVE numbered lists~

  1. Ive been going to Zumba twice a week now. Its good for me (yes, I have to keep telling myself that) And Lynn was there! Hi Lynn!
  2. The Safeway brand "O" organic macaroni and cheese is REPULSIVE. Dont waste your money. My chickens didnt even want to eat the leftovers.
  3. The school changed the times for preschool and now my boys wont attend at the same time so I will go back to getting NO alone time for me in the morning. Kinda sad, kinda not. Ehhh, what can you do?
  4. We have been spending alot of time at the library lately and I really enjoy it. I am currently reading "Charlotte's Web" to Natalie and "The Wind in the Willows" to the boys. They love to be read to at night and it is a great stress reliever for myself.
  5. Quote from Boston: "You can't be the Dad. You dont have a weiner!"~as said to Natalie while they were playing house.
  6. I bought some Dr. Bronners natural soap the other day at the health store up here and am now in love with it. I used it in the laundry, in the toilets, the sinks, my hardwoods, the piano......and it worked awesome! NO more itchy rash on my youngest boy! Woot! ( he has an allergy to most cleaners/detergents)
  7. Boston is better than me at the wii. Not just one game either, he is better than me by far at ALL of them.

Why me?

Is it just my boys? For goodness sake!
I went in their bathroom this evening, I try and clean it every night because if I dont it will reek like pee. Gross, I know! I cleaned the toilet and then went back in 2 hours later and it still stunk. Want to know what it was? I sure didnt.

Lucas has taken to peeing in his trash can. ::gag::

I quit.

It is not more than 5 inches from the toilet seat! Why would you pee in the trash can?!
I told him that he was a Turd today. He looked at me and said " I NOT a Turtle!"

I found my underacheiver

Chicken that is.

I get 4 eggs everyday. 2 white, one light brown, and one dark brown. My white leghorns lay the white ones which are pretty big eggs. But we couldnt figure out who was laying what egg of the brown ones, the light brown egg is significantly smaller than the other 3 eggs and I wanted to make sure that I dont buy anymore of "that breed" in the spring when I replenish my flock. I went out earlier than usual yesterday to gather the eggs and feed and water my hens and lo and behold one chicken was still in the nest box. Its Patchy, Boston's Barred Rock hen. The egg under her was light brown, small and still warm from her body. (and she is my FATTEST chicken!) Sooooo no more Barred Rock chickens for the Sauvageau family.

How did I get the "crack" children?

Well I guess it didnt kick in until saturday. But Lucas and Boston were HORRIBLE for me when we went to Lynnwood to do some shopping. Tom went golfing with Natalie and Kevin and I took the boys to the Alderwood area to shop for some much needed "stuff". You know.....Picture frames, throw pillows, chocolate.....girl stuff! Luke pitched a fit everytime we got in and out of the car. The only time that they were semi good was when we were riding the escalator at Kohls. They were even bad in Toys R us! I mean REALLY! I bought myself a new Gooseberry Patch cookbook cause dangit! I DESERVED it after yesterday! Tom even said that Natalie was kind of a brat while they were golfing. I was really happy to get home and put them to bed. ( I might have had a shot of my x-mas tequila that my Brother in law josh got me for christmas. ;) Thx Josh!) Needless to say, I slept well last night.

Note to self: Next shopping trip is ladies only!
