Thankful Thoughts

I have been enjoying some special time with my kids lately, mostly just snuggling on the couch or having special little chats about nothing in particular. I love that they can come to me and not feel weird about it. It makes me feel like I am doing something right.
I am missing my Ashlynn. I get especially sappy about her during the holiday season and her being a legal adult is just unreal to me on so many levels. I miss seeing her beautiful eyes on christmas morning.
Natalie is a really good writer! I am so impressed with her ability to portray her spoken words into written ones, I'm letting her occasionally blog on here now because I love that she likes to write like her mama.
Boston is my little lover. Such a sweet and sensitive boy. He comes and gives me backrubs before he asks for things, its cute how he butters me up. Love that boy.
I had Luke (7) read our special thanksgiving book tonight. I love that he is old enough to read it alone and enjoy reading it. We look at the pictures and he makes up stories about the kids playing in the book. Its some really sweet moments that I am already treasuring.
I love being in love with my best friend. I love the hugs in the morning and at night. I love the sweet words and the genuine appreciation that we have for each other. I tried to practice wedding vows and I cant even practice without crying. I can explain in words how much James means to me. I am truly the luckiest woman alive to have such a special man.

Yay....Aunt Flo is showing up for the holiday!

Well here is something to be thankful for.....I'm due for my period on thanksgiving.
Well played body of mine....well played.  I do have to be thankful for it somewhat, I mean...at least I have one meaning that I am still fertile.  I do see babies in my future, just not as near as some others might see them.
Nothing says be thankful like gut wrenching cramps and queasiness!

On the plus side, I have amazing soon to be in-laws. I LOVE their company and look forward to spending time with them.

I miss watching spongebob

  • Talking to my Luke the other day and he tells me that Boston is his best friend and that he misses him very much when they are apart. That is enough to melt a mother's heart.  Mine sure did.
  • I am so crazy in love with my 3 kiddos that I can hardly contain myself sometimes. I love living in the Seattle area with my kids. There is so many things that we can explore.
  •  I am engaged! James asked me to marry him on September 12th while we were in Las Vegas for his sisters wedding. I get to marry my best friend!
  • This post has nothing to do with Spongebob......sorry.
  • I try so freaking hard not to quote RuPaul's Drag Race in public, but I sometimes cant help it! "You don't know anything about fashion!".
  • I am the floss Nazi. You are probably doing it wrong, here let me help you.
  • I say super stupid stuff, Like "There is water in those waves!" when talking in general conversation. This convo was about my hate for fish and the waters that they thrive in.
  • I have a "thing" for redheads. ;)
  • I believe in marriage and true love, even though my first didn't work as it was supposed to. I am determined to get it right this time.
  • I love to take care/wait on people when they are sick. Kids and Adults alike.
  • I have the baby itch. Bad. Like Really Bad.

Whats not to love lately?
My kids and I made an attempt at homemade butterfingers. They tasted really good however my daughter labeled them as such......

Cause apparently that is what they resembled.
I hope the appearance improves with the next batch. I will keep you posted.

It's these little people that I do what I do for. It's them that makes the studying worthwhile and the pressures of school life bearable. I could not imagine my life without them in it. They are my world.
Things are beginning to look up a bit in my life. I am BUSY. So busy in fact that I tend to collapse at the end of the day and sometimes do not even recollect what happened within the last 24 hours. I know its going to be worth it. I know that keeping my eye on the prize is where I need to be focused. But man, The GUILT that I deal with is overwhelming. I hate not being able to be there for everything that my children do. It pains me to miss school events, and sports. Even just having one on one time with them is almost impossible lately.

In 2 short weeks I am going to have a 5th grader, a 3rd grader, and a 2nd grader. I am blown away at how fast time actually went. What happened to my babies?

Boston

"Mom, I love you and you are the best mom in the world." ~ Boston

Those are some of the sweetest words a mother could ever hear and I am continually blessed to hear them most everyday.

The things that he loves are usually people and ideas. Such a sweet boy. I would give him the world if I could. He is 8 and a half at the moment. Where did my baby go? He is still a snuggler and a lover. I wouldn't trade him for anything.
