I got 2 apple bins today for my new chicken run. They cost me $6.00 each and I am going to pick them up tomorrow. I'm pretty happy about it because my chickens are getting mighty cooped up and I feel bad for them.
Ashlynn had her 1st track meet and got 3rd in the shotput. I am THRILLED for her! She called and was so excited to tell me about it. I made sure that she knew I was darn proud of her too.
The kids and I were in the kiddie parade last weekend and they had a great time. Natalie held the banner for her school and boston rode in the wagon I was pulling. It was a little windy, but at least it wasnt freezing or scorching hot! I dont think that we are going to the big parade. I havent been that impressed with it the last few years, Id rather just skip it and do something that we all want to do instead. (Personally, I just really want to sleep in)
I am not coping really well with not being able to be pregnant again. I really did want 4 children, Its hitting me much harder now that Luke is 3. What makes it really hard is watching my sister and sister-in-law both be pregnant, dont get me wrong, I am thrilled to have more nieces and nephews. Its just hard to hide the heartache. I dont really have an outlet that I can express it to either, Tom just gets irritated with me, he tries to help but i just end up feeling worse about it later. Guilty almost for wanting another one. I dont know....Thanks for listening.

::Sigh::
Boston: Mom! I love you!
Me: I love you too Bo!
( a few seconds pass)
Boston: Actually, I love Dad more than you Mom!
Great.
I went to take a bath last night and noticed that all the jets in my tub were plugged up with tampons. I can thank Luke for that one. He was so proud of himself "It fits mommy!"
Another luke story...ok here you go. Keri (our employee) came and told me that she thought that Luke pooped. Yes, he did. On the floor in front of toms office, and then he tried to just cover it up with a towel so that we wouldnt notice. I mean really! Oh well, I love him anyway.
In the last few days Lucas has:
- Colored with sharpie in my kitchen table.
- Colored with pencil on the woodwork in the hall.
- pooped on the floor
- tortured the cat
- feed oreos to my chickens
- dumped an entire bottle of shampoo down the drain
- brushed happy's (the dog) teeth
- cut holes in some of his clothing
- decorated the toilet seat with stickers
- and had 2 spiderman action figures melted when he put them in the oven when it was off.
and a partridge in a pear tree............

The bike
"Wow mom! I didnt know you could ride a bike without training wheels!" ~Natalie
This obvoiusly impressed her beyond reason. I havent gotten on a bike since natalie was tiny, like maybe 1 month old or something. So today I go out and get my bike out of the garage and hop on. Whoever said you never forget how to ride a bike is full of beans! It took me 10 minutes to balance and about a half an hour to build up the courage to turn. I was scared! I got the hang of it, but no, its not something I want to continue to do any time soon. =)

Of all the things that I let get to me....
why does laundry have to be the one that really seems to stress me out? Oh well. 3 more loads and I am DONE!
Ok, so it is confirmed by my Dr. I have a non pregnancy version of Pica. Ewwww. So now I get to take supplements and drink way more milk than any human ever should. Hopefully this should start to help here in a few days. Praise God!
A few Random thoughts:
- I love MOPS. I look forward to going every few weeks and it really helps keep me in perspective. Ive made a ton of new friends up this way, more than I have ever had i think in my whole life (Hi Heidi!). Thanks for the clothes!
- I was cooking fried chicken the other day for my family, and all of a sudden I start to feel bad for my chickens, I mean....what if they can smell it?
- Boston told me the other day that when he grows up he wants to be a "grown up" or "Ichiro".
- I am getting a whole lotta nowhere with luke's potty training. Its really frustrating!
- I am walking with my kids in the parade this saturday. PD elementary! Come and check us out!

Please dont read if you have a weak stomach......
I really am wondering if I have something more seriously wrong with me than my Dr. thinks. When I was pregnant with Natalie I got really horrific cravings for cigarettes, not to smoke(I've never smoked anything in my life)....to eat. I never did thank goodness, but I had to take iron supplements to help suppress those cravings. Yesterday, they hit me hard again, only this time I am not pregnant. I dont know what to do. I know it sounds like the grossest thing ever but I am really having a hard time with this! I went to get Natalie off the bus today and noticed that I was chewing on something only to spit it out and notice that it was a cigarette butt, I must have subconconciously picked it up off the ground and tossed it into my mouth. What do you think I should do?

And God Said "because.... its funny Alicia!"
That was the answer I got to my "why me" of the day. Hey at least other people can laugh about it too.
Boston and Luke were gathering Easter eggs at my moms house (happy Easter!) and Luke yelled "catch the beeball!!!" and threw an egg (the hardboiled kind, not the hollow plastic) directly at Boston's face and hit him smack in the eye. Now he has a nice shiny black eye. Oh joy. And of course I was scheduled to have him get some up close face shots tomorrow at 9am I had to be embarassed and call to cancel.(sorry Mary!) So now we have to wait until he heals.
On to some little girl ambition......."Mom, If I can't be a ballet dancer when I grow up, I think that I will just work at Mcdonalds" Thats my baby girl y'all!
I did get some of that "mommy gratification" today in church. I was sitting next to Natalie who put her head on me and whispered "I love you mom." I must be doing something right. For everything that I think that Im failing miserably at, there are somethings that I just melt at how much God blesses me with these beautiful little lives. He put ME (tom too) in charge of. What was he thinking?! Well he has a plan and I think its working out as he wants it. Amen. =)

Happy Birthday to the love of my life!
Yep Tom is 28 years young today. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband! He just rocks my world. Plain and simple.
well a couple new things have come up in the last few days.....
- Natalie learned to ride a bike without training wheels! (Go baby girl!)
- Boston learned to whistle. (usually only when I am trying to listen to his siblings tell me something) He's better than me!
- ALL our snow melted and we have been having wonderful warm weather.
- We got 10 baby chicks! Im so excited I can hardly contain myself...Im a very doting chick mama =). The kids LOVE them! Natalie was very upset that we are planning on eating the eggs and not hatching more baby chickens.
- I got to spend this last weekend with my neice Alicyn(12), neice Kaylee(whose 5th birthday was yesterday! Happy birthday Princess!), and nephew Jake-who turned 16 on the 1st!. (but all at different times) This week was a very good "Aunt" week for me. I even got to spend some time with Adrian(4) and Julian(5 1/2) too.
- I had the best time at MOPS. I love going and meeting new people. I could always use more friends up here so its nice to meet such wonderful women, and yet very encouraging at the same time. We got to hear 3 testimonies today and I loved every minute of it!
- There is this house up the street about a mile that has the CUTEST chicken coop ever. I got up the guts and drove up there to ask if i could take pictures of it for reference and ended up meeting a really fun lady named kate who is a writer and an artist that also recently moved here. Im going to head up there again soon to just chat. Bonus: she let me take lots of pictures!
Well that really sums up what went on around here in the last few days. Nothing really exciting, yet nothing really boring either. =) Its been a great week so far! Heres to tomorrow!

Home!
Well we made it home from Las Vegas! I had so much fun. I got to see a bunch of shows, Including "0", the one I was raving about wanting to see so bad and it blew my expectations out of the water! It was THAT good! I would totally pay to see it again. What was funny about the trip was that all 4 of us that went (Tom,myself, Adam, and Karalee) all got called up on stage! Tom, Karalee and I at "The Mentalist" and Adam for "the blue man group". It was so much fun. I did not win at the casino, at all. But hey, you win some you lose some.
I read "new moon" on the way down on the plane, some in the hotel, and all the way back too and I finished it tonight. I am so stoked to read the 3rd one! I might have to go and buy it tomorrow. (sheesh, Im just a big ball of excitement arent I?) I'll try and add pictures to this tomorrow after I locate my camera in my luggage. I missed you all!
