Blah Blah Blah......yakety schmakety

I cannot stop talking. Ive discovered this. I would rather share my thoughts as they come into my head than do most anything else. This drives Tom nuts. Ive just got alot to say. Quote from the love of my life "You need girlfriends alicia".

We joined the YMCA last night. I am excited about it. Anyone want to take Zumba in wenatchee with me. I am still going to take it up here on mondays but an evening class down there would be fun too. Can you tell that I love Zumba? I want the soundtrack for it. I am not a good dancer, in fact I usually look like I am having a seizure. however, I think that I entertain other people in class with my "going to pass out at any moment" look that I usually have pasted on my face. Not to mention the "lovely" shade of crimson that my face turns about halfway through it. But golly do I feel good afterwards.

My kids have been fairly well behaved these last few days. Shocking I know. Natalie and I are reading Charlottes Web together and she really enjoys that. I had to control my tears yesterday when I was looking at her and realized that only for a short time longer is she going to be my 6 year old with both front teeth missing who wants nothing more than for me to "kiss her face off". She asked me yesterday if she could get a pig someday. I had to tell her to ask Daddy in her "super sweet girl" voice. =) Mommy kinda wants a pig too. and a goat, and some sheep, and a horse or 4. Lol But for where we are right now, I am perfectly content with a husband, 3 kids, 4 chickens and a dog. Thats "farm-ish" enough for me.

(Karalee, I miss you too! Terribly. Sorry I dont call enough. I'll make it a point to do that more! )

Merry Belated Christmas!

"Santa" brought me a new oven! I have a window that I can see what I am actually baking! I actually entertained myself by watching our dinner cook this evening. Sad...yes. But I loved it.

We got Boston the mario game for the wii. Tom and I stayed up late last night and beat it. =) Actually Tom beat it and me being Luigi and all had to stay in the bubble most of the time. Thats ok. It was some serious quality time if you ask me.

On christmas eve one of the people tom works for showed up at our doorstep with 3 awesome tube sleds for the kids. He had sewed the covers for them and had each of their names embroidered on them. Blue for Boston, Red for Natalie, and Green for Luke. They are the nicest sleds I have ever seen! I am so excited for the kids to get to use them.

Boston is complaining about his ear again tonight. I guess that entails a trip to the Dr tomorrow. Its getting a little old here. That is 3 ear infections this month alone. 2 for boston and 1 for luke. I wonder whats causing them? Any ideas?
Oh I have one! Maybe it was the moon sand that Lucas crammed into his ear? Or the mini lego? I guess there is just no telling with these boys.

Quote of the day: " Quit trying to take a picture of my butt!" ~Boston as said to his sister with her new camera.

  1. My fillet knife
  2. My kitchen shears
  3. A remote to a DVD player

Yes. Tom found all 3 items today in my master bathroom under the sink. I havent the foggiest idea of how they got there. I sure hope that I didnt do it. But you never know, It is ME we are talking about.

I.B.S.=Itchy Butt Syndrome?

I watched Boston scratch his butt at the breakfast table today for 10 minutes strait. I asked him to stop, I mean how gross is that!? People are trying to eat and you are scratching your tush! His response was " Yeah but.....My Butt is really ITCHY!"

Well he is his fathers son.

Some statements
  • Natalie is in the Nutcracker tonight. I am excited to watch it and excited to be done with the "normal" activities for the next 2 weeks.
  • We have over a foot of snow now and are expecting more.
  • We watched my niece and nephew Jillian (2) and Christian (6mo) this past weekend and were asked by more than one person if we were morman. Sorry to say that even with the crazy amount of LDS and JW missionaries that we get here in the boonies of leavenworth...I still have yet to be converted =) "We are perfectly happy in our faith and our home church" ~Alicia S.

I had a stocking exchange with some friends last night!( Mom's always seem to get screwed on the whole"stocking" thing. That was so much fun! I got some really awesome stuff and I got to get rid of some of the excess christmas cookies that I had hanging out at my house. Woot!

Anniversary?

So, I gave up caffeine one year ago yesterday. Not a drop since then. I think that is a serious accomplishment! I still drink pop, just caffeine free pop which makes for an interesting time when we go out to restauarants. Waitresses usually look at me weird. Dans food mart has diet caffeine-free pepsi on TAP! I love that place minus the weird smell that it has. =)
We got 6 inches of snow last night! I am going sledding today! It is sooooo pretty outside. I am going to count the hike up the hill as my workout. I bought a Jillian michaels DVD and she pretty much kicked my ass. I have visible biceps though, which I think is cool. Tom does not like them...but theres not much I can really do about it except not lift more weight.

A Christmas Carol

So...My newest "thing" is dangly earrings! I love them, bought a new pair tonight even.

Tom took Natalie to see A Christmas Carol in 3D. He said it was WAY to graphic and scary for little kids and should not have even been rated PG because of it. While he was at the movie with her I took the boys shopping. We went to the mall and saw Santa. Santa SANG to them. They loved it. Boston asked for the new wii mario game and luke didnt tell santa anything he wanted, Instead he just announced that at the end of jingle bells you are "supposed to say ,Hey!". I love my boys. We went to macys and smelled all the perfume, rode the escalators twice(cool mom here!) and then went to Fred meyer where I promptly dropped them off in the playplace and went looking for cute earrings. I found them and they were 50% off! SCORE!

Home at last!

I am so happy to be back at home and back to "normal".

A few key points to my last week

  • My SIL Liz got married this last weekend. Beautiful wedding, even prettier reception. I got a new and much more likeable brother in law out of it too! Yay!
  • I hosted thanksgiving at my house and that went over really well too. I did not get to eat any pie though. (or mashed potatoes...or stuffing)
  • I went shopping on black friday, I left my house at 3:30 and didnt return home until after 7 and I still only spent 20.00
  • Last wednesday my hubby took me to a movie and drinks afterwards, It was the nicest "date" that ive been on in a long time. I love that man.
  • "Mom, I really love Dad. Not you." ~Boston
  • I lost 4 lbs! Woot! However my treadmill just broke last night. So we will see how i do this week.
  • I upped my vitamin intake and my hair has stopped falling out! This could be my happiest news yet!

It was an eventful week but I am so happy its over with. Stress and Alicia do not mix well. I need a Girls night out! Who's with me!?
