Vomitpalooza!

So Lucas woke up screaming at 1 am and he was throwing up all over himself. I scooped him up and took him into his bathroom and as he was leaning over the toilet throwning up he started having diarrea at the same time. OMG I swear I was unaware that a kid could have that much fluid in his little body. I got him, the bedroom, and the bathroom all cleaned up and I got all the laundry thrown into the wash (God Bless Bleach!) and put him back to bed. He woke up with a pretty high fever so he and Tom have just been laying around all day. A few prayers would be appreciated, Its been a difficult week (sick kid wise).

Some blessings when kids are sick

  1. Bleach...enough said
  2. Antibacterial soap
  3. Scented Candles ( I much prefer the scent of mint chocolate over vomited spanish rice...Sorry TMI)
  4. White Sheets and blankets
  5. Crib mattress protectors/lap pads. These have been a God send for saving bedding/carpet. I am so happy that I never got rid of them after my kids grew out of the "baby" stage.
  6. Vaporizer, yeah it pretty much just makes me feel better to have it running. =)
  7. The ability to deal with it. I love that I have no inhibitions dealing with them when they are losing fluid from every orface of their body.
